After purchase by Joseph Naden in the 1930's, the farming unit at Barms Farm was considerably extended and improved by the following generations of Nadens over a period of nearly eighty years. Barms Farm's Spatown pedigree dairy herd was dispersed in 1998, leaving a small flock of breeding ewes and one horse, who graze in the surrounding fields. Currently, haylage and silage is produced off the remaining land and we have some very happy hens who supply our guests with extra fresh eggs for breakfast. Since the 1980's the farmhouse (parts of which date back to the early 17th century) has been sympathetically extended and upgraded without detracting from the original character and charm of the property. We continue our ongoing enhancement programme to maintain and improve our current high standards.
